A Tuesday morning lockdown at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama was lifted after a “possible active shooter” alert, but movements inside the Army military facility are still limited as an investigation into the incident continues.

The alert was issued on Twitter around 10:30 a.m., Fox News reported. It was lifted at 12:30 p.m., but employees were asked to keep movements limited to as-needed after the incident.

There was a training exercise going on in the building until Wednesday, but multiple announcements said the lockdown was not part of the training exercise, Fox reported.

No arrests or injuries were reported after the incident.

“The gates to the Arsenal are open and operational,” a statement about the incident said, Alabama.com reported. “This incident is under investigation. The safety and security of our workforce remains our top priority.”

Around 2 p.m., heavy traffic was going in and out of the arsenal, with limited access to the Sparkman building where the active shooter incident took place.

Army spokesman Col. Rich Spiegel told Fox News he could not confirm that there was ab “actual active shooter,” leading Fox News to report that the active shooter alert was “apparently false.”

There was no word about whether the planned live shooter drill would take place tomorrow as scheduled, Alabama.com reported.

Gov. Kay Ivey and Reps. Robert Aderholt and Mo Brooks were monitoring the situation and Ivy said she would “pray for a peaceful and quick resolution,” Fox News reported.

The arsenal is located near the Tennessee border in northern Alabama, and more than 40,000 people work at the facility each day, Fox News reported.
