'Real World' Looks to Cast Occupy Protesters

By    |   Wednesday, 19 October 2011 11:03 AM EDT

Producers of MTV’s “The Real World” are looking at the recent Occupy Wall Street protests as a potential casting call, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The production company, Bunim/Murray, took to Craigslist to post its targeted casting call.

“MTV’s Real World is seeking cast members to tell their unique stories on our show. If you are over the age of 20 and appear to be between the ages of 20-24, and the description below sounds like you, we want to hear from you!

Are you a part of the Occupy Wall Street movement?

If so, please contact realworldcasting@bunim-marry.com. Your subject heading should be your name and wall street,” the Craigslist post read.

According to a spokesperson for Bunim/Murray, producers aren’t looking to specifically fill a role on the show with a Wall Street demonstrator, but rather are broadening their casting search.”

The show, which is in its 27th season, will announce this season’s location in early November.
