"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Kim DePaola's car was torched Friday in what appears to be a double murder.
The vehicle, an Audi, had been found burning in the 500 block of East 28th Street in Paterson, New Jersey, with two bodies found inside the burning vehicle that appeared to have been shot in the head, NJ Advance Media reported.
The Audi was registered in the name of DePaola, the Bergen County boutique owner who has made numerous appearances on the "Real Housewives of New Jersey," according to NJ Advance Media. The vehicle was mainly used by her son Chris Camiscioli, according to TMZ.
"We're told a friend drove Chris to the airport last Wednesday, and was in possession of the car while Chris was out of town," TMZ reported. "Our sources say the friend was not supposed to drive the car around town ... rather, Chris told him to take it back to his house and leave it.
"Apparently that didn't happen. Family sources say Chris has not been able to reach the friend and is extremely worried," TMZ continued.
WABC-TV identified the person driving Camiscioli's car after taking him to the airport as Aaron Anderson. While the victims inside the vehicle have not been identified, Anderson's mother Michele Ryerson told the television station that she believed one was her son.
"They traced the car back to Chris' mom, and the car was in her name," Ryerson told WABC-TV about the burning vehicle. "They found a wire in the driver's mouth, in his jaws, and my son has a wire in his jaw."
Authorities told WABCV-TV that an investigation into the deaths is ongoing and they are still looking for evidence that would lead them to a suspect or additional information about the crime.
In the meantime, DePaola issued a statement on Instagram, sharing her condolences.
