Raymond William Henry II, a track and field coach at a California high school, was arrested last week on possession of child pornography charges after graphic photos were found on an iPad believed to be his.
Mission Viejo authorities arrested the Trabuco Hills High School coach and teacher’s aide on Friday after an unidentified rental car informant told the sheriff’s Special Victims Unit that the 57-year old’s iPad, which he reportedly left in a vehicle, “contained photos of naked females ranging in age from 11 to 13 years old,
exposing their genitals,” KTLA 5 reported.
Henry’s tablet also contained photos of female students wearing Trabuco Hills High School
track and field uniforms, The Associated Press reported.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said Henry is being held on $20,000 bail and is scheduled for a court appearance Tuesday, according to KTLA 5. Authorities are still investigating and have not announced whether Henry has obtained a lawyer yet. Neither school officials or the Saddleback Unified School District have yet to comment, the AP noted.
Henry’s case is not the first child pornography case in California this year. Last week Abdullah Sediqi of San Diego was placed on $3 million bail after being charged with 13 counts of sex crimes, many involving minors who were clients at his
ex-wife’s daycare, reported NBC San Diego. Sediqi’s phone contained more than 6,000 photographs, many of which were “very graphic and disturbing,” Escondido Police Chief Craig Carter said, according to NBC.
