The unofficial "Ratatouille" musical has been snapped up by Broadway and it is all thanks to TikTok.

It all began with one song uploaded to the social media platform by a user creating their own song for the 2007 Pixar film. Suddenly hundreds of others were sharing their own songs and ideas for the hypothetical production. The crowd-created phenomenon exploded and it soon reached Broadway execs, who announced on Wednesday that they will bring the production, now entitled "Ratatousical," to life for a one-off charity performance to be streamed online on Jan. 1, The Guardian reported.

There will be no single creator and it is unclear which of the many songs will be featured, or who will star in the musical, which is not affiliated with Disney, but it has been reported that it will feature the "biggest and brightest" talents. Production company Seaview is spearheading the concept and all funds raised will be donated to the Actors Fund, which supports performers and behind-the-scenes workers in the entertainment industry.

"It has been magical to watch the TikTok community create and embrace the #RatatouilleMusical," said Lizzy Hale, senior manager of content at TikTok US, adding that "the endless creativity of the platform and the wider community rallying around it has inspired and driven a new forum for theater lovers to express themselves, participate, and enjoy the show," according to Cinema Blend.

Ticket prices range between $5 and $35 each. Ticket holders will be able to stream the event from 7 p.m. ET, and there will be a 72-hour window in which they can watch the musical.
