“Rambo” is back for a fifth installment with 72-year-old Sylvester Stallone reprising his role, but this time as a badass cowpoke, if the pics shared to the actor’s Instagram account Tuesday are anything to go by.
“Tonight we start filming,” Stallone captioned one image that shows him dressed in full Western gear.
A second image shared to his account shows the star riding a horse, a cowboy hat tilted low over his face.
“Comes a Horseman Wild and Free @rambomovie #rambo5,” the pic is captioned.
There is substance to the Western theme, with the final scene of the fourth “Rambo” film depicting Stallone walking in a rural setting, past a horse farm and a mailbox with his name on it, Movie Fone reported.
Earlier this year, Screen Daily offered a breakdown of the plot for “Rambo 5,” noting that the main character was trying to make a life for himself in a ranch in Arizona, picking up casual work while fighting with PTSD.
However, Rambo drops it all to find the missing grand-daughter of long-time family friend Maria, and uncovers a sex-trafficking ring in the process.
Stallone initially said he was retiring the character, but backtracked on the decision when he announced a return for the fifth “Rambo.”
Adrian Grunberg is said to be directing the movie, which began filming Tuesday, Movie Fone said.
An exact release date yet to be announced but Stallone previously said “Rambo 5” would hit theatres in Fall 2019, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
