The Connecticut prom stabbing suspect accused of killing a 16-year-old girl who rejected his invitation has pleaded not guilty to her murder.
Christopher Plaskon, 17, appeared in Milford Superior Court Wednesday and entered a not guilty plea to the April 25 murder of Maren Sanchez, a Nation Honor Society member and student at
Jonathan Law High School, The Hartford Courant reported.
Witnesses claim they saw Plaskon attack Sanchez at the school and later discard a bloody knife.
According to a police affidavit obtained by CBS New York, Plaskon was later taken to the principal's office and met by a police officer who asked what happened. His clothes bloodied, Plaskon reportedly replied, "I did it. Just arrest me."

The teen was charged as an adult and reportedly faces up to 60 years in prison — or a mandatory minimum of 25 years — if convicted.
Plaskon's lawyers are currently mulling over an insanity defense, according to The Courant.
Also during Wednesday's hearing, the prom stabbing suspect opted for a trial by a three-judge panel rather than a jury.
"I'm a firm believer that juries have a very difficult time with issues pertaining to mental health and the criminal justice system," Richard T. Meehan Jr., one of Plaskon's attorneys, told reporters the session. "I think what happened in Santa Barbara recently, that would only make presenting this type of an issue to a jury that much more difficult."
Plaskon, who is said to be on anti-psychotic and anti-anxiety medication, is being held on $3 million bond at Manson Youth Institution in Cheshire, Connecticut, CBS reported.
