In the latest royal "oops," Prince Willian said he wants his third baby named Jack… "or Jackie," he quickly added in an attempt to cover his blunder.
In just a few weeks Kate Middleton and Prince William will welcome their third child into the world but their lips have been sealed when it comes to the sex of the baby.
However, Prince William dropped a huge hint on Tuesday that they were expecting a boy, after saying he wanted to name his child after Aston Villa midfielder Jack Greali, The Mirror reported.
The bomb came while Prince William was watching Aston Villa take on Cardiff City at Villa Park with former Villa forward John Carew, when Jack Grealish scored the winning goal that gave the team a 1-0 victory, E! News said.
In his excitement following the game, Prince William told fans "I'm going to insist the baby is called Jack," before adding after a pause "or Jackie," according to The Mirror.
Perhaps there is nothing to the comment but, with Royal baby fever in full swing, small slips will ultimately lead to massive headlines in the news, as is the case with Prince William's latest incident.
Meanwhile, Royal fans have been waging bets on when baby No. 3 will arrive and what his — or her — name will be, People magazine said.
"Punters are lumping on the imminent arrival of baby number three and the odds suggest it will be this week," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
