Prince Harry and girlfriend Cressida Bonas were seen at London's Wembley Arena Friday night cuddling up next to each other in a crowd of some 12,000 school kids celebrating the youth empowerment charity We Day UK, organized by the international nonprofit Free The Children.
During the event, the 29-year-old Harry addressed the crowd encouraging those in attendance to
work for social change, USA Today reported.
"Personally, I think it's the coolest thing in the world," Harry said as Bonas, 24, apparently
heckled him from a sideline seat, Vanity Fair reported.
The couple is known for generally keeping a low public profile; however this is the second time in a couple of months they made headlines for making public appearances having
in January been pictured at a London burger eatery, although this was the first time they've attended an official event together.
Friday's appearance at the arena capped off a week of public appearances for Harry, who last Monday represented his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, at a Westminster Abbey service in honor of the late South African leader Nelson Mandela, USA Today noted.
In October,
British media outlets predicted that Harry and his girlfriend would soon be exchanging nuptials, with a supposed source close to the couple
telling The Telegraph, "Cressie is going to marry Harry," adding "Harry never stops talking about marriage and children, and she has now got used to the idea. The wedding is likely to take place next year."
"He says he wants her to be his wife — this is it,"
another source told E! Online. "Things will start happening sooner rather than later. Harry's found his girl. It's taken everybody very much by surprise."
In contrast to the sources predicting their imminent marriage, other sources close to the pair disputed the reports,
telling the Mirror that "Talk of Harry and Cressida getting married could not be further from the truth."
"Indeed it wouldn't be a surprise if they go their separate ways soon," the source said. "It is actually Harry who has been moving on. He is incredibly fond of Cressida and loves her company but he has commitments and plans in other areas of his life that could be jeopardized by settling down. It is not what he wants at this time of his life."
