A 'Price is Right' contestant decided to use the popular game show as an opportunity to win his ex-girlfriend back.
Stepping up to the spinning wheel on Monday's broadcast, host Drew Carey asked the contestant named Paris if he would like to send a shout out to his friends. After saying hi to several friends watching the show, Paris then decided to take a leap of faith.
"And hi to my ex-girlfriend, I still love you and… uh, let’s give it another shot! Woo!" he said, according to Fox News.
After his second spin, Paris' total added up to 90 cents out of a possible $1. Carey thought it would be enough for the contest to win back his ex.
"She's got to love you now, you just spun a 90 on the wheel," he said. "You’re a dope to dump this guy, he just spun a 90 on the Wheel!"
Unfortunately, Paris' brave on-air declaration was not successful. Replying to tweets applauding him, Paris explained that the gesture was not enough to convince his ex-girlfriend to get back together with him, although the coronavirus pandemic may be to blame.
"Hey everyone it didn’t work. She’s stuck in quarantine alone now though so who’s on top now. Maybe she’ll have me once the virus shimmies on out," he wrote in a tweet.
"Im pretty sure she still loves Me She’s still reliant on me. She just called twice last week for toilet paper so who wears the pants now. But I mostly wear pjs in quarantine actually," he replied to another tweet.
