A Charlotte, N.C., mother had her own son arrested earlier this week for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts.
The unidentified mother contacted investigators on Monday about the theft, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.
In the report, the mother tells police that her own son, a juvenile, had stolen the item, local NBC affiliated WCNC reported.

The boy was charged with a larceny/misdemeanor and placed under juvenile arrest.
Despite multiple attempts by local media to get a statement from the mother, the woman proved elusive.
According to WCNC, the mother snuck through a backdoor at her residency parking blocks away to avoid media inquiries. The mother's only appearance was when she briefly peeked out of her front door and hurled an obscenity at reporters standing outside her house before quickly slamming it, WCNC reported.
Neighbors expressed mixed reactions to the mother's actions.
"He seems real nice to me. I mean, he is real respectful," said neighbor Fred Patrick who could not stop laughing when asked about the issue.
Another neighbor, Tiffany Covington, was not amused.
"It would be nice if they asked, but they don't," Covington said. "They are kids."

As a form of protest, neighborhood kids scrawled "all he wanted was a pop tart," in chalk in the street.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police would not comment further on the incident.
