A “mystery pooper” has been arrested, and his identity has a lot of people scratching their heads.
Police set up surveillance at New Jersey’s Holmdel High School after someone had repeatedly defecated on the school’s football and track field. School employees had reportedly discovered human feces “on a daily basis,” according to NJ.com.
That surveillance led them to Kenilworth School District superintendent Thomas Tramaglini, 42, who lives about three miles from the Holmdel school grounds.
Tramaglini was caught in the act and he was arrested Thursday at 5:50 a.m., according to Sgt. Theodore Sigismondi.
He was subsequently charged with lewdness and littering, and is scheduled to appear in court at 8:15 a.m. Monday to answer to the charges.
Since his arrest, Tramaglini has taken a paid leave from his position, which pays an annual salary of $147,504.
Prior to his accepting his Kenilworth School District post, he was a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University.
Social media, as one might expect, went crazy with pooper observations.
