Police Taser of LAX Passenger Caught on Video by Mini-Me

By    |   Thursday, 21 May 2015 08:12 AM EDT

Police Tasered a man at LAX airport on Wednesday after he allegedly pushed past security, and the actor who played Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies was among those who filmed the incident with their smartphones.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the man refused to cooperate with Transportation Security Administration officers at the screening area outside of Terminal 6. He then pushed past security officers and police, and started walking toward his gate.

Witness videos show the man, who was said to have a valid ticket, continually disregarding officer requests to stop, and later get on the ground.

In actor Verne Troyer's video, an officer catches up to the man, and begins handcuffing him while they're both standing up. The man soon breaks free, however, and continues toward the gate area.

Other videos show the moment when an officer pulled out his Taser, pointed it at the man and shouted, "Get on the ground, sir. You wanna get Tased? Stop." The man does not stop, however, and does not get on the ground.

He makes it all the way to Gate 66 when the officer finally pulls the trigger, and shocks the man.

One witness commented that after being Tased, the man was smiling and smirking. After his arrest he was discovered to have been unarmed, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police said he could face charges of trespassing and obstructing police, The Associated Press reported.
