Police spent nearly an hour in hot pursuit of a suspect running amok around a neighborhood in Connecticut, but this was a different type of suspect. A pig on the loose had three Stamford police officers dashing around the edge of a pond at a property in Winding Brook Lane on Friday, WNYW reported.
Hilarious body camera footage of the incident shows the Stamford Police Department officers running in circles trying to corner the porker. At one point, the pig charges between an officer's leg, darting left and right, evading every attempt to be contained.
"He's getting tired," an out of breath officer is heard saying before running after the pig again.
They were eventually able to capture the pig using a trash can. The animal was taken to Stamford Animal Control, which is trying to locate its owners.
"It took over 45 minutes of chasing the pig to finally catch him and get him under control," police said, adding, "Oh yes, we are all aware of the plethora of jokes this incident brings to mind."
