Planned Parenthood Defunding Bill Dies: Senate Roll Call Vote

The U.S. Senate failed to bring Planned Parenthood's federal funding to the floor on Monday, with the bill falling short of the 60 roll call votes it needed to advance.

According to The Associated Press, the bill ultimately received a 53-46 roll call.

Voting yes were two Democrats — Joe Donnelly of Indiana and Joe Manchin of West Virginia — and 51 Republicans. Voting no were 42 Democrats, two Republicans, and two Independents.

Republicans voting no included Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Mark Kirk of Illinois. Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina was the only one who didn't vote.
