Piers Morgan is doubling down on comments he made about Meghan Markle following her explosive tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking during an appearance on "Tucker Carlson Today," the broadcast journalist reiterated what he had previously stated about not believing Markle when she claimed racism and lack of support drove her to harbor suicidal thoughts.

"I just find that impossible to believe that you would have two people in the palace who would be that callous to a woman telling them that she was suicidal," Morgan said, according to The Hill. "But also, there’s the position of Prince Harry in all this. He is attached to many of the biggest mental health charities in Britain."

Morgan further said he did not believe Markle is a "terrible victim of racist oppression," adding that "she’s either completely delusional, or she’s deliberately lying."

During the interview, Morgan also spoke about storming off the set of "Good Morning  Britain" after weather presenter Alex Beresford criticized his attitude toward Markle. He also spoke about the backlash he faced following his remarks.

"It was an outrage. I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion that I didn’t believe what she was saying, even though it was clear to me in real time as I was watching the interview that there were a number of things which couldn’t be true," Morgan stated.

He went on to accuse Beresford of making a "premeditated attack," although admitted his reaction was "stupid."

"I was angry in the moment that he was trying to personalize this, make it I had some personal vendetta about Meghan Markle, which I don't. And I came back. And we then had a pretty lively and quite enlightening, like half hour debate about this," Morgan said.

Shortly after the incident, ITV announced that Morgan had quit the talk show. The broadcast journalist previously opened up about walking away from the show, explaining that there was pressure to apologize for his comments, but he refused.

"Suddenly, I reached a moment of total gut clarity: f**k it, I wasn't going to apologize for disbelieving Meghan Markle, because the truth is that I don't believe Meghan Markle," Morgan wrote in a column for the Daily Mail in March.

"And in a free, democratic society, I should be allowed not to believe someone, and to say that I don't believe them. That, surely, is the very essence of freedom of speech. If I said I now believed Meghan, I would be lying to the audience, the very thing I've accused her of doing. And even if I did apologize, that wouldn't be the end of it. The woke brigade would keep coming for me, demanding I apologize for everything else they find offensive – which of course, is absolutely everything."

Morgan explained that he called ITV's director of television, Kevin Lygo, and said he would not apologize. They then agreed that he would immediately leave the show.

"I should be able to be a journalist and question the veracity of those statements,” Morgan said on "Tucker Carlson Today." "And frankly, I should be allowed in a democracy that values freedom of speech, I should be allowed to say, I'm sorry, I don't believe you. But I wasn't. I wasn't allowed to do that."
