March 14 – Pi Day – is a great day to be a mathematician or just to geek out and make jokes about pi and pie. (For those people who avoid math, pi is 3.1415.)

Imagine what’s going to be online next year when Pi Day will be 3/14/15.
Many also gave a nod to one of the greatest mathematical minds of all times — Albert Einstein.
Some, though, felt Pi Day was an irrational holiday.
Pi Day popularity seems to grow each year. It used to be something given a nod mostly by those who are fascinated by this number that goes on for infinity and calculates the distance around a circle divided by the distance across it.
In 2009, Pi Day was officially designated by the House of Representatives, CNN said. And since then, it’s become a fun celebration even for those who don’t like math. It is, after all, an excuse to eat pie.
