Lt. Col. Ralph Peters describes President Barack Obama’s response to the Libyan crisis as “mega wimpy,” adding the president doesn’t take significant stances on foreign policy.

“He really doesn't understand foreign policy. He never took an interest in it. And he has terrible trouble taking a stand or making basic decisions,” Peters told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly Wednesday. “I mean this is a guy that can't make budgetary decisions.
“And now, in his statement today, it was just so mega wimpy, I mean, Gadhafi is not shaking in his purple bedroom slippers tonight, I guarantee you,” said Peters, a Fox News strategic consultant.
“When he says it's unacceptable to do what [Libyan Leader Moammar]Gadhafi is doing and then threatens to send Hillary Clinton to Geneva for a human rights council next Monday, while people are being slaughtered.”
Agreeing with Peters’ assessment, O’Reilly noted the White House response might be for fear Americans in Libya might be killed.
“That's pure spin,” Peters said. “Gadhafi knew and knows that if he touched an American, that's the excuse we need and we would be in there, even Obama couldn't stop himself from sending in air strikes, special ops, marines, or whatever.
“And so that is just another red herring. Obama is a smart man. But he's . . . always wringing his hands.”
