The Pennsylvania shooting suspect, an ex-Marine whose deadly spree killed six people and left one other person fighting for his life this week, was found dead just yards from his home Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
NBC Philadelphia reported that Bradley Stone, who prosecutors say is responsible for killing his ex-wife and five of her family members, was found dead in the woods near his home in an apparent suicide.
Law enforcement officials had been searching for Stone since early Monday, when he is believed to have shot ex-wife Nicole Hill Stone before rushing his screaming children out of her apartment and leaving them with a neighbor.
He is also suspecting of killing his ex-wife's mother, grandmother, sister, brother-in-law, and niece, according to the report.
A nephew is currently in "very serious" condition with head wounds.
Stone's daughters, ages 8 and 5, his current wife, and infant child from that relationship are safe.
Stone served in Iraq and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, according to NBC Philadelphia.
Schools were closed Tuesday in the Pennsburg area where Stone lived as the manhunt was underway.
