Paul Walker's daughter's Porsche lawsuit, accusing the car company of the fatal November 2013 crash that killed "The Fast and Furious" star, has been settled.
While no details of the settlement were disclosed, Gossip Cop noted that both parties have agreed to dismiss the case.
Meadow Walker filed a wrongful death lawsuit in September 2015, claiming that design flaws in the car maker's Carrera GT model prevented her father from escaping when the vehicle caught fire after crashing.
Porsche disputed the lawsuit, stating that Paul Walker was "a knowledgeable and sophisticated user of the 2005 Carrera GT" and saying that the particular vehicle was "misused and improperly maintained.”
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Meadow Walker has reached a resolution with Porsche, with both parties requesting the dismissal of the wrongful death case.
A separate lawsuit filed against Porsche by Paul Walker’s father, has also been settled.
In 2016 Meadow Walker was awarded $10.1 million from the estate of Roger Rodas, the man behind the wheel of the Porsche that crashed and killed both men.
At the time, Meadow Walker’s attorney, Jeff Milam, told People magazine that the amount “only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not tragically been cut short.”
Roger Roda’s widow, Kristine Rodas, also filed a suit claiming that mechanical issues were to blame for her husband’s death, refuting an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that cited excessive speed as the main factor.
However, in 2016 the case was dismissed when a judge found no significant evidence to prove the auto giant was at fault.
In his ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Philip S. Gutierrez said, per The Hollywood Reporter, that the “plaintiff failed to offer any admissible evidence from which a jury could reasonably find that this accident was caused by a broken toe adjustor rod.
