"Jeopardy!" viewers are freaking out over a clue on Tuesday’s episode that seemed to predict the coronavirus pandemic.
The episode featured three university students competing in the College Championship, which was taped in February before the World Health Organization declared a pandemic, according to the New York Post.
Nathaniel Miller of Yale picked an $800 clue from the "Health & Medicine" category.
"From a Greek word for people, it describes a disease that affects many people at one time," it read.
"What is a pandemic?" Miller responded with the correct answer.
The Yale sophomore went on to win the College Championship round to advance to the semi-finals, but attention was diverted to the uncanny foretelling.
"'Pandemic' an answer on Jeopardy tonight. Eerie," one Twitter user captioned a video of Miller's answer.
"#Jeopardy knows too much. They were ready for this pandemic two months before the US even was," a "Jeopardy!" viewer tweeted.
"Did anyone else get a lump in their throat when they realized 'pandemic' was an answer on #Jeopardy tonight or just me?" a third Twitter user wrote.
"This show has the most prophetic timing with air dates of the clues," another viewer stated.
Others felt that the timing of the episode was insensitive.
"Too soon. #Jeopardy," a viewer tweeted.
"Really #Jeopardy? We would also accept - 'What is our current sh*t situation.'" another added.
