Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee Olympian on trial for murder in South Africa, appeared to vomit Monday as a witness graphically described the injuries his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp sustained after he allegedly shot her to death.
Gert Saayman, the pathologist who conducted the autopsy on Steenkamp, told the court how the model took her last breaths
after a bullet entered her skull, South Africa's Times Live reported.

Pistorius is on trial for allegedly shooting and killing Steenkamp at the couple's home on the morning of Valentine's Day 2013. Pistorius claims he fired four shots into a locked bathroom door when he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder in the middle of the night.
The "Blade Runner" appeared to retch, vomit, and weep as Saayman recounted the graphic injuries. The judge offered to halt the proceedings if Pistorius was too sick to go on, but the testimony continued and a bucket was placed at his feet, according to Times Live.
Last week, Pistorius was photographed covering his ears and eyes as a witness testified hearing
Steenkamp's screams before the shots were fired, ABC News reported.
Prosecutors insist that Pistorius knowingly fired at Steenkamp after the two were heard arguing loudly.
Pistorius' amazing struggle against adversity warmed the hearts of the world during the 2012 London Olympics when he became the first double amputee to compete against able-bodied runners at the games. He reached the semifinals of the 400-meter race and took home a silver medal for South Africa. His carbon-fiber prosthetic blades earned him the nickname "Blade Runner."
Pistorius was reportedly born without fibula bones and underwent double amputation below the knee as an infant.
A judge will ultimately decide Pistorius' fate, as there is no trial by jury in South Africa.
