Olympic streaker Mark Roberts made his first appearance since 2013 by taking to the ice at the Gangneung Oval on Friday in nothing but a pink tutu and skimpy underwear, the Daily Mail reported.
Roberts has become a celebrity of sorts, having made 519 naked dashes during some of the most prominent sporting events before saying he would end his stunts in 2013.
But he could not stay away and marked his return at the Winter Olympics.
As soon as the men's 1,000-meter speed skating medal ceremony concluded, Roberts took to the ice with the words "peace and love" emblazoned across his bare chest.
Roberts later spoke about the rush he gets from streaking.
"I love the total freedom," he said, according to The Express. "You're free for about two minutes. Then you lose all your freedom the minute you're behind a cell door."
Roberts has made some notable appearances at high-profile sporting events over the years.
His first daring stunt took place at the 1993 Rugby 7's Hong Kong event, according to his website.
From there he has crashed dozens of other events including the London Marathon (1996), Rugby World Cup Final (1999), Commonwealth Summer Games (2002), Tour de France (2003), Winter Olympics (2006) and Beijing Olympics (2008).
Roberts told Yahoo Sports that he considered himself a professional in the art of streaking.
"I can't do it during the game," he explained recently. "It has to be before the game is in play. I don't want to interrupt the game … I'm a professional."
Roberts added that he did not just wing his streaking appearances, and that there was an amount of planning that went into it.
"People think you just turn up, take your clothes off and run – so much more goes into it," he said, per VICE Sports.
