Protesters from the "Occupy" movement are planning to demonstrate this weekend at a Washington, D.C., conference sponsored by the conservative advocacy group Americans for Prosperity, according to OpenSecrets.org.
The event is scheduled to feature Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Herman Cain, as well as other popular GOP figures, including former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
Americans for Prosperity is a nonprofit advocacy group funded primarily by businessmen Charles and David Koch, who along with family members have personally contributed nearly $3 million to mostly Republican candidates since the 1990 election cycle.
OpenSecrets noted that the group has become a target for liberal activists because of its connection to the Koch brothers.
