Michelle Obama to Appear on Another Reality Show

First lady Michelle Obama will appear on yet another reality show next month, according to the Food Network.

Mrs. Obama is set to appear on the Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible” reality show on June 13.

Chef Robert Irvine, restaurant rehabber and host of the program, will be recruited by the first lady to rebuild a children’s community center in Washington, D.C., which is known as “Horton’s Kids.”

Irvine will renovate the dining areas of the center’s facility, hoping to secure the first lady’s “stamp of approval” following the work’s completion.

According to the network’s website, Irvine will face “his toughest challenge yet on 'Restaurant: Impossible' when first lady Michelle Obama, a champion for the health of our nation’s children, assigns him the task of rebuilding Horton’s Kids, a children’s community center that serves after-school meals in one of Washington, D.C.’s neediest neighborhoods.”

“The pressure is on” for Irvine, since he will have only two days to “create a dining room, build a spacious kitchen, and plant a garden for Horton’s Kids to grow their own fruits and vegetables,” the network’s website explained.

The first lady has been on a record number of reality shows to promote her initiatives and help her husband’s re-election effort, including the programs “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America,” and NBC’s “The Biggest Loser.”

This has made Mrs. Obama the most televised pop culture first lady in history, having appeared on small-screen entertainment shows, which have featured her, among other things, engaging in a tug-of-war with Jimmy Fallon, doing push-ups with Ellen DeGeneres, and even dancing on Disney's “iCarly.”
