Obama's 'No More Campaigns' Mic-Drop Moment Silences Critics

By    |   Wednesday, 21 January 2015 02:23 PM EST

President Barack Obama lit up Twitter during his State of the Union address Tuesday night with an off-the-cuff remark related to having no more campaigns to run — a jab that's being referred to as his "mic-drop" moment.

"I have no more campaigns to run," Obama said, to which Republicans laughed and applauded. Without skipping a beat, the president then fired back with a confident zinger: "I know because I won both of them."

More than 2.6 million Tweets were sent related to #SOTU, and that comment generated the most tweets per minute during the address, according to Twitter.

Twitter users reacted to the comment.
