Passengers were forced to walk off the Nitro roller coaster at a New Jersey Six Flags last week after the popular attraction lost power mid-ride.
It happened Friday afternoon at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, when a car climbing Nitro's 230-foot incline got stuck.

Park officials told NBC New York the ride stalled because of power failure. All passengers were required to exit the car and use the emergency stairs to climb down the peak to safety. No injuries were reported.
"Nitro has a sophisticated computerized system that can cause such ride stoppages,"
a public relations supervisor told the Asbury Park Press. "All guests were safely removed from the ride within 23 minutes. Following standard safety checks by park staff, the ride was re-opened less than an hour later."
Passengers involved in an incident at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California last month weren't so lucky. Four people were injured and dozens of others stranded when the
Ninja roller coaster derailed.
"We were going across one turn and all of a sudden a loud noise happened,"
one of the injured riders, Jeremy Ead, told KCAL-TV. "I ducked down just in time. A hard branch hit me in the head. I was there bleeding from my head, which was a little worse than this."
