Nicole Eggert: 'Baywatch' Star Starts Ice Cream Truck Business

By    |   Thursday, 09 October 2014 07:01 PM EDT

Former "Baywatch" star Nicole Eggert has left the beach for the streets, where she’s driving a new mint-green ice cream truck.

The star announced her new career on Twitter along with a photo of the truck and told her followers where they can stop by and get a scoop.

Eggert, 42, followed in the footsteps — or wheels? — of Rupert Grint of "Harry Potter" fame, who also purchased an ice cream truck.

RadarOnline reported in January that Eggert had filed for bankruptcy in September 2013, listing assets of over $1 million. It was her third attempt to file; the previous two attempts were dismissed.

Eggert, who also starred in “Charles in Charge,” has been in the news since she began to struggle with her weight about four years ago. She worked hard to get back into the iconic “Baywatch” red swimsuit to compete in 2013 in a swimming competition for ABC’s “Splash.”

At the time, the star told RadarOnline, "This is way out of my comfort zone for so many reasons. So here I am going to be in a bathing suit in front of the whole world again, then throw myself off a high platform."

One of the judges lauded her after a near-perfect dive, saying, “You are giving every mom in America hope they can get back in their swimsuit. For you to do something like that shows courage and that you are fearless and a player in the game. That was unbelievable, great job.”
