The New Jersey school bus driver involved in a fatal crash last week has a track record of license suspensions and moving violations, ABC News reported.
A New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission spokesperson revealed that 77-year-old Hudy Muldrow Sr. obtained his license in 1975 and has since then had a total of 14 license suspensions, eight speeding tickets, as well as a careless driving ticket and a ticket for an improper turn.
Most recently, his license was suspended in December 2017 for parking violations, then restored in on Jan. 3, 2018.
Muldrow reportedly made an illegal U-turn that caused the fatal crash resulting in the death of a student and a teacher from East Brook Middle School in Paramus, New Jersey.
ABC News noted that no charges have been filed, and the case is still under active investigation.
Muldrow was behind the wheel of the school bus, which was travelling along Route 80 in Mount Olive to a class trip in Waterloo, when the incident took place, NJ.com reported.
He reportedly missed an exit and was attempting to get back on the main road when the bus collided with a dump truck.
The bus was ripped in two and more than 40 people had to be transported to hospital.
Ten-year-old fifth grader, Miranda Vargas, and school teacher, Jennifer Williamson, were both killed in the collision.
An attorney for the Vargas family has filed a notice claim against Paramus and the Paramus School Board, WABC-TV reported.
He said Muldrow's "driving record raises a lot of questions and potential areas we have to explore. ... As well as the negligence in allowing him to drive children."
