In his post, Steffel explained that he was never able to get a photo of his daughter without the tubes during her short life.

Steffel’s post received almost 3,000 comments and dozens of portraits of the baby girl, Sophia, who
died July 10 with a type of liver tumor, People reported.
"This is really amazing. Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers,"
Steffel wrote on Reddit.
Sophia was on a
waiting list for a liver transplant when she died, "Today" reported.
“I was overwhelmed with the response I got,” Steffel told Today Parents. “My wife and I were so grateful so many people took the time out of their own lives to either send a nice message of sympathy or an awesome drawing. They couldn't have made this father any happier.”
Twitter users were touched by the acts of kindness.
