Momma Dee, of VH1 Reality Fame, Loses a Tooth During Live Show (Video)

Momma Dee, breakout star of VH1's "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," lost her tooth while singing her new single "I Deserve" at her first live gig over the weekend.

The 30-minute set at Sutra Lounge in Atlanta was met with a plethora of online jokes sprouting across Twitter. Black news and opinion site The Root offered its own salvos — writing that Momma Dee "is riding her 15 minutes of fame all the way to the dentist, I mean bank."

Fans report that Momma Dee didn’t let her tooth stop the show, and apparently popped it right back into place. She went on to perform songs by Frankie Beverly & Maze and Anita Baker. It is unclear if her son, rapper Lil Scrappy, was in attendance.

Vibe reported that she stayed strong after the show, responding to her critics with positivity on Twitter. She also referred to her tooth as her "flipper," which was oddly endearing.
