Mom and personal trainer Sia Cooper was the target of criticism when she uploaded a video of herself working out at a local Target while shopping with her young child.
Her video was reposted by SELF's Instagram account on Oct. 15 and went viral with nearly 85,000 views.
Many responses were encouraging, while others criticized her for blocking aisles and being too generally gung-ho about her fitness.
"Why? Do it at home," one commenter posted.
"This is just ridiculous," another said.
Not to be deterred, Cooper has since posted videos for the 635,000 followers of her site DiaryOfAFitMommy.com of other store-based workouts, including Walmart and Whole Foods, while she carried the 17-month-old in a back or front pack during the workout, Fox News reported.
"Because that's how I clapback at my haters," the Walmart video caption read.
Cooper is no stranger to online criticism, Self reported. When she was pregnant with her second child, she was criticized for having a six-pack, with critics telling her she was going to hurt the baby.
"At this point, I've become desensitized to it," Cooper said to Self, while admitting that comments directed at her children can still get to her at times "because how can people say those things?"
