The second teaser for "Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" is out, reminding fans that “the Mockingjay lives” and will be in theaters Nov. 21.
In the second trailer promoting the much-anticipated third film in the "Hunger Games" series, President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland, is giving a speech promoting the Capitol’s values when rebels break in with a message: “This is a pirated transmission from District 13 with a message. The message, for those who aren’t following the movies, refers to the movie’s heroine, Katniss, nicknamed Mockingjay affectionately by the rebels who have made her a symbol of their attempt to overthrow the Capitol.
The second trailer posted Wednesday on YouTube and already had more than 2.3 million hits by Thursday afternoon.
Part 2 of the film will be out in November 2015. The shooting for both movies is done, as evidenced by a tweet from producer Nina Jacobson on June 20.
The last two of the popular movies are eagerly awaited by fans. The first “Hunger Games,” released in 2012, grossed $152 million on its opening weekend, and the second movie, “Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” grossed $154 million on opening weekend.
Many commented on their excitement on the movie trailers. “I cannot wait for this movie, I need to re-read the book again,” one person wrote.
“This is going to be awesome, by dividing the third book into two parts, they can give the films the room to fully explore the books the way that the first and to some extent the second film was never able to,” another said. “I really look forward to this premiere.”
