Michelangelo's former Tuscan farmhouse is on the market for the bargain price of $7.5 million, according the website TopTenRealEstateDeals.com.

The 11th century farmhouse was purchased by the legendary artist in 1549 when he was 72, three years after completing the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel, the website said. The house stayed in his Buonarroti family for more than 300 years, and has been preserved and restored by its current owner, noted TopTenRealEstate.Deals.com.

"For those who feel the thrill of romance in their connection to history by simply touching a thousand-year-old wall, it's almost inconceivable the connection from actually living and sleeping in the same rooms and walking the same grounds as this great man did over six centuries ago," the website wrote about the property.

"The very thought of cooking in his kitchen next to the massive stone hearth where he cooked and warmed himself or to sleep in the same room where he lay visualizing the next step of a project before dozing off," the website added.

The Daily Mail wrote in 2015 that the property comprises three buildings, with the villa itself built around an ancient tower, believed to date back to the 11th century.

The property includes an original oil mill, which is now used as an outbuilding, and an expansive lemon grove. The estate includes eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, all of which have been updated, the Daily Mail wrote.

Architectural Digest wrote that the there are also some 200 olive trees with an overall price tag of $9.27 million. According to TopTenRealEstateDeals.com, that price has come down to $8.15 million and now $7.5 million.

"A copy of the original deed signed by Michelangelo himself comes with the purchase of the three-story home," Architectural Digest reported in February. "A 10-year restoration was made to the façade and interiors, which still include the original wood-beamed ceilings and fireplaces, plus a brick barrel-vaulted ceiling in one of the living rooms."

Michelangelo, who lived from 1475 to1564, was a sculptor, painter and architect widely considered to be one of the greatest artists of the Italian Renaissance period, according to History.com. His work includes his Pietà and David sculptures and Sistine Chapel ceiling paintings.
