Tom Brady had the perfect response to Michael Strahan's tweet that poked fun at him in a birthday message. The ordeal started on Monday when Strahan took to Twitter to wish the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback happy birthday.
The message was innocent enough but in the post, the former New York Giants star could not resist sharing a throwback photo to the Super Bowl XLII. In the image, Brady is lying on his back on the field while Strahan shouts out in victory.
"Happy birthday, @TomBrady! Enjoy the day my brotha. Yes, I had to use this photo AGAIN," he wrote.
Brady, who is a four-time Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and three-time league MVP, was quick to fire back at Strahan.
"Thanks, Mike. Guess we’ll just have to run it back . . . on a football field . . . where I still go to work every day…" he replied in a tweet.
The 43-year-old quarterback, widely known as "the greatest of all time," has six Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots and recently joined the Buccaneers. Brady announced his departure from the Patriots on Twitter in March. He thanked "all of the incredible fans and Patriots supporters," adding it has "truly been the happiest two decades I could have envisioned in my life, and I have nothing but love and gratitude for my time in New England."
Brady also spoke about moving over to the Buccaneers earlier this year.
"Where I've been, I've learned a great deal," he said per Draft Wire's Luke Easterling. "As I move forward, no one cares what you've done in the past. There's a lot of things I have to get up to speed on, learning different terminology, that's a unique challenge I haven't faced, but one I look forward to."
