Michael Savage is bringing the plight of white South African farmers to light, asserting that they are being killed on their farms in genocidal fashion while the media ignores the story.
Savage’s latest newsletter issue compared the spate of farm attacks and South Africa’s proposed plan to seize farm land from whites through constitutional changes to the actions of Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe, which was formerly called Rhodesia and was colonized by whites until Mugabe took power.
“Unfortunately, the African people have not learned from history and they’re repeating this travesty,” Savage wrote, referring to the massive food shortages that resulted from the socialized policies of Zimbabwe.
South African police reported 47 farm murders among all races in the 2017-2018 financial year, a number they say is on the decline from a high of 153 in 1997-1998, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Ariforum, an Afrikaner rights group, disputes those numbers and says there were 84 farm murders in 2017. Another group, AgriSA, says there is rising violence all over South Africa, not just on the farms.
But farm attacks are tempting to criminals because of the isolation of the farms, which makes them more difficult to police and protect, the Herald reported.
Some farmers are choosing to leave South Africa for Australia and even Russia in an exodus Savage compares to the biblical one in which the Jewish people fled to Babylon.
“Do you understand we’re living through biblical times?” Savage concluded his article. “While the mainstream media, even the conservative media, is transfixed with Mueller, Manafort, and collusion, they choose to ignore this shocking abuse of human rights,” Savage said, adding that it doesn’t fit the media narrative.
