Radio host Michael Savage will celebrate 25 years on talk radio this weekend and his show on Monday will air a special program to mark the occasion.
Westwood One will honor the conservative host of "The Savage Nation" broadcast and podcast, which boast a listening audience in the millions, by airing highlights from Savage's quarter-century on the air, special call-ins, and other surprises.
"This has been my fifth career. Social worker, teacher, medicinal plant explorer, author, talk show host," the 76-year-old Savage said. "Where have all the years gone? I only hope I have made the world a better place."
Westwood One president and Cumulus Media executive vice president Suzanne Grimes said Savage brings a unique voice to radio that has made a mark on the industry and the United States.
"From broadcast to podcast, Dr. Savage has a unique ability to connect with listeners and engage them in conversation that offers genuine insight and circumspection. His work has made a monumental impact on American culture," Grimes said. "We are proud to partner with Dr. Savage and we send a very heartfelt congratulations on this special anniversary."
Savage's show focuses on politics and news about health, science, religion, culture, and more. He has also written more than three dozen books.
