Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, is really steamed at Prince Harry for saying Meghan now has a family “she’s never had.”
"Actually she has a large family who were always there with her and for her," Grant shot back on Twitter Wednesday. "Our household was very normal and when dad and Doria divorced, we all made it so it was like she had two houses. No one was estranged, she was just too busy."
"She has a large family. She always did," she continued. "Meg's family (our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the glue of our family, our amazing completely self-sacrificing father," she wrote said, adding that marrying "merely extends it."
Prince Harry and "Suits" actress Markle, his fiancee, spent Christmas with his brother and sister-in-law, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, when he made the remarks about family in an interview with BBC Radio 4.
"There's always that family part of Christmas," Harry said. "I think together we had an amazing time." But then he said Meghan was "getting in there and it’s the family I suppose that she’s never had."
Grant, who also uses the last name Markle according to her Twitter account, and Meghan share a father, Thomas Markle. Samantha, 52, is wheelchair-bound after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2008. She is a former actress and model.
Grant is reportedly working on a tell-all book about growing up with Meghan. It is rumored the two have had an estranged relationship.
