The country continues to wait for the first Mega Millions winner of 2014, as no one matched Tuesday's numbers,
causing the jackpot to balloon to $216 million. The next drawing is on Friday.
No one had the winning combination of 12-18-25-35-66. The Gold Mega Ball number was 15 and Megaplier was 5,
according to the Mega Millions website.

The $216 jackpot has a cash option of $119.6 million. One player in Essex County, Md., won a second-tier ticket worth $1 million after a purchase at a 7-Eleven. There was another winner in Arizona.
"More than 2.2 million winning Mega Millions tickets, at all prize levels except the jackpot, were sold for the February 25 drawing," Mega Millions said in a statement. "Other prizes range from $5,000 down to $1. For the third consecutive draw, the optional Megaplier number was 5, so anyone holding a winning ticket that included the extra $1 purchase saw their prize automatically increase by a factor of five."
Friday's drawing will be one of the largest Mega Millions jackpots on record since the $656 million jackpot on March 30, 2012. Mega Millions reached $648 million in December.
Since 2007, Mega Millions has awarded jackpots of more than $200 million to winners in California, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, and Washington state. Mega Millions is the country's largest lottery game, played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Mega Millions changed its matrix in October, which has created bigger jackpots, with second-tier prizes of up to $5 million with the Megaplier feature for better overall winning odds. This past December's $648 million jackpot was won by individuals in California and Georgia.
Mega Millions' companion, Powerball, currently has a jackpot of $50 million, with a cash payout option of $28 million.
