McDonald’s will begin testing an all-day breakfast menu starting next month at some San Diego-area stores.

The test will include a limited selection of breakfast items, The Associated Press reported.

The restaurant chain previously said serving both breakfast and lunch at the same time wasn’t possible because the kitchen space is too small, the wire service noted.

"We look forward to learning from this test, and it's premature to speculate on any outcomes," McDonald’s spokeswoman Terri Hickey said, according CNBC. "We're excited to serve our customers in this area some of McDonald's great-tasting breakfast sandwiches, hash browns and other favorites all day long."

Most McDonald’s locations stop serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m. during the week and 11 a.m. on weekends, much to some customers' dismay.

All-day breakfast is just the latest idea the chain is testing, Money reported.

Other potential changes include table service at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany; “Shakin’” flavors that allow customers to add flavor seasonings to fries and McNuggets; a customized burger; and a new fast-casual restaurant concept in Sydney, Australia, called The Corner.

Twitter users commented on the all-day breakfast menu test.
