Matt Lauer divorce details spilled by a source to Us Weekly magazine reportedly include wife Annette Roque getting two homes and a $20 million cash payout in lieu of child support.
The fired NBC "Today" show host had been in divorce proceedings since news of his sexual misconduct at the network broke. Lauer, 60, and former model Roque, 51, have three children together – Jack, 16; Romy, 14; and Thijs, 11, Us Weekly reported.
An internal investigation of Lauer by NBC revealed this month that four women came forward to complain about Lauer's workplace behavior toward them, but the women told investigators they didn’t directly tell "a manager or anyone else in a position of authority about their encounters with Lauer," The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
The investigation revealed the accusations included encounters with Lauer in 2000, 2001, 2007 and 2014, THR said.
The Us Weekly source said Roque was asking for the 40-acre house farm in Water Mill, New York, and the house in The Hamptons, along with the cash settlement.
"If she does get the $20 million, Annette won't ask for child support, but Matt will pay for major expenses for the kids, education, healthcare until they are 21," the source told Us Weekly.
The source added that their New Zealand ranch will be sold and the couple will "share the profits."
The gossip magazine wrote that Lauer had moved out of his Hamptons home in April, where Roque and the three children are living now.
"Getting him to move out was quite daunting because Matt was refusing to leave," a source told Us Weekly back in April. "It was all about Matt, who expressed concern about how it would look to the media in the wake of being fired by NBC. Annette was simply at a loss for words because she had hoped that he would recognize this was best for her and the kids."
