The nanny of actress Mary-Louise Parker’s teen son and young daughter was busted Monday for stealing money from Parker’s bank account twice in April.
Sources say the nanny, Amanda Hoston-St. Louis, stole $36,820 since 2015 from Parker when she had access to a debit card and PIN number linked to Parker’s checking account so she could buy items for the children, but that the nanny allegedly withdrew over $15,000 from one CVS alone, TMZ reported.
Parker became aware of the thefts when the bank alerted her to possible fraud, and police then investigated the transactions.
The 52-year-old “Weeds” star lives in Brooklyn with her children, and the 33-year-old nanny is also from Brooklyn. Hoston-St. Louis was arraigned Tuesday on the charges and released without bail, the New York Daily News reported.
Parker listed the nanny in the acknowledgements of her 2015 memoir, “Dear Mr. You,” the Daily News reported.
Twitter users wondered why Parker would give her card and PIN number to the nanny in the first place.
