Mark Salling's autopsy showed the "Glee" actor had alcohol in his system when he reportedly hanged himself before sentencing in a child pornography case, per a Los Angeles County Coroner's Office report.

The report said Salling's femoral blood registered 0.08 percent alcohol, putting him at limit for being legally intoxicated, and the report said his heart blood registered 0.095, The Wrap reported.

Salling, 35, best known for playing Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the Fox musical series, was found hanging by a rope from a tree the morning of Jan. 30 after his mother discovered him and his vehicle missing.

USA Today reported his body was found near the Los Angeles River in Sunland in the San Gabriel Mountains near where he lived. The coroner's report determined that Salling died of asphyxia by hanging, deeming the manner of his death to be suicide, The Wrap said.

A judge was slated to sentence Salling in a child pornography case in March and he was supposed to have met with his probation officer the day he was found, The Wrap said.

Salling had reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in October in which he admitted to possessing pornographic images of prepubescent children, USA Today said. A search warrant had found more than 50,000 images of child porn on Salling's computer and a thumb drive.

Prosecutors asked in the plea agreement that Salling be sentenced from four to seven years in prison, afterwards he would have to register as a sex offender, pay restitution and be restricted in where he could live, USA Today said.

He was initially charged in May 2016 in a federal indictment of receiving and possessing child pornography. He was arrested in December 2015 after the Los Angeles Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force unit issued a search warrant at his home, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Salling was the second cast member of the former Fox series to die. USA Today noted that Cory Monteith, 31, who played Finn Hudson on the show, was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia, in July 2013.

A coroner ruled Monteith died from an accidental drug overdose of heroin and alcohol, USA Today said.
