Mariah Photoshop? Super Slim Image on Album Cover Incites Critics

By    |   Monday, 13 April 2015 07:39 PM EDT

Superstar Mariah Carey is being accused of excessive Photoshop alterations for the cover of her new album, "#1 to Infinity," as it shows a seemingly slimmed-down version of the singer.

Carey tweeted a photo of the cover for the record, which will be released May 18.

Various media outlets weren't the only ones to notice a svelte Mimi, and many sent jabs via Twitter.

Carey, 45, the mother of 3-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, is wearing black minidress on the cover of the album. Still, not all the comments were negative.

"#1 to Infinity" is Carey's first Epic Records release following a deal she signed earlier this year. She will perform all 18 No. 1s for the first time as part of a residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Her first of 18 confirmed dates is May 6.
