"Eaten Alive" premieres December 7 on the Discovery Channel, and will feature a filmmaker donning a snake-proof suit to be temporarily eaten by an anaconda.
"You have to go head-first," filmmaker Paul Rosolie says in a new preview clip of the show, which features him and his crew venturing into the depths of the jungle.
After capturing a wild anaconda, the crew apparently gets Rosolie into his custom-built armored suit, cover him in pig's blood — just like Stephen King's "Carrie" — and wait for the magic to happen.
"We're gonna make me as appealing as possible just so the snake just goes, 'Well, I've got this big thing here. I might as well just get a free meal,'" he said.
He reportedly survived the ordeal, as Discovery has announced that the show has already been filmed.
In anticipation that animal rights advocates might not take too kindly to a snake being subjected to the tortures concocted by extreme reality television, Rosolie posted a statement to Twitter that was semi-reassuring.
He also explained that he's definitely not going to be the first thing an anaconda has ever eaten alive, and tweeted a YouTube video of an anaconda eating a baby alligator that is still very much alive and kicking.
