Timing kept former “Full House” stars Lori Loughlin and John Stamos from a real-life romance, Loughlin said this week.
"I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband,"
Loughlin told Ali Wentworth, who hosts Yahoo’s “Daily Shot.”

Loughlin, 49, played Aunt Becky on “Full House,” the onscreen wife of Jesse Katsopolis, played by Stamos, 50, and fans have long wished for a real-life romance between the two.
During an interview in June 2013,
Stamos called Loughlin "the one that got away."
Loughlin explained to Yahoo's "Daily Shot" that when she and her first husband Michael Burns divorced in 1996, Stamos met Rebecca Romijn, whom he married in 1998. Stamos and Romijn divorced in 2005, but Loughlin has been happily married to designer Mossimo Giannulli since 1997.
Loughlin’s recent comments reflect those she made last year, when she
told "HuffPost Live" during a March 2013 interview that “our timing was just really off. I don't think it ever entered our minds that it would be something more."
Loughlin reignited intrigue in the fall, when she tweeted a photo of herself with Stamos and fellow cast member Candace Cameron Bure.
The photo was taken at a party
hosted by "Full House" creator Jeff Franklin, according to "Today." Loughlin described the event as a fun night when a bunch of musicians get together and sing and perform.
“It was one of those phenomenal, magical nights,” she said.
Loughlin told "Today" that she remains close with the entire cast of “Full House” and talks and texts with Stamos “quite a bit.”
