Llama Chase: 2 Loose Llamas Lead Arizona Chase, Win the Internet

Two llamas on the loose in Arizona led led law enforcement officers on a chase and generated more than 220,000 tweets as the Internet community did its best to help — or just laugh.

The llamas were running around Sun City, Arizona, Thursday — followed by television cameras and law enforcement — on the lam from the assisted living facility where they were supposed to do patient therapy work.

Instead, the pair became Internet stars, hashtagged on Twitter with #llamas and #llamadrama.

The llamas were both eventually captured and are safe in custody.
