Presidential hopeful Sen. Lindsey Graham said on Sunday he would never be caught in the email controversy that is currently dogging Hillary Clinton because he has never sent an email.

Graham, who is thinking about a White House run of his own, stumped "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd when he asked the 12-year senator "Do you have a private email address?"

"I don't email," Graham told Todd." "No, you can have every email I've ever sent. I've never sent one. I don't know what that makes me."

After a moment of serious silence, Todd laughed as Graham continued on.

Clinton, former Secretary of State and all-but-announced Democratic presidential candidate, has been mostly mum on the private email affair since a story broken by the New York Times a week ago suggested she may have violated federal rules requiring officials to keep all their communications for record-keeping purposes, noted Fox News.

The controversy grew when The Associated Press reported that Clinton's private email account server was traced back to an Internet service registered to her home in  Chappaqua, New York.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House committee investigating Benghazi attack, told CBS' "Face The Nation" "there are gaps of months and months and months" in the emails the committee had previously received from Clinton.

"It's not up to Secretary Clinton to decide what's a public record and what's not," said Gowdy. "We're not entitled to everything. I don't want everything. I just want everything related to Libya and Benghazi."

Graham told "Meet the Press" that he wonders if Clinton was mixing secretary of state business with that of the Clinton Foundation.

President Barack Obama said on Saturday that he did not know Clinton was using a private email address for official State Department business until after a New York Times report.

"The policy of my administration is to encourage transparency, which is why my emails, the BlackBerry I carry around, all those records are available and archived," Obama told CBS News. "I'm glad that Hillary's instructed that those emails about official business need to be disclosed."
