Lady Antebellum's tour bus caught fire Thursday morning, and singer Hillary Scott reported online that many of the country band members' personal belongings were destroyed with the exception of her Bible.
Scott posted a photo of the bus on Facebook, telling followers, “Hey guys, we had a crazy morning on the way to Dallas today. Our bus caught fire and we had to evacuate very quickly. It was me, my husband, our tour manager, and driver. Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe.”
Reba McEntire echoed the sentiment, writing on Facebook, “Thank God you guys are okay.”
About two hours later, Scott posted an additional picture to Instagram, this one of her open Bible.
Scott's post struck a chord with many social media users.
"Thank you for sharing this, because I needed to see/read a story like this," one person commented on Instagram. "I'm going thru (sic) some rough times, financial issues but I know that God will prevail. Thank God everyone was safe on your bus, take care & God bless."
"My husband is a fireman," someone else shared. "I love love the stories of Bibles not burned!! God Bless you and keep you and keep telling your story!!"
