Kurt Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, paid tribute to her late father in a note on what would have been his 50th birthday.
“Today would have been your 50th birthday,” the note read, according to Us Magazine. “You are loved and you are missed.”
The late musician was found dead in his home in Seattle in 1994. The then 27-year-old reportedly committed suicide.
Frances was just a baby, at the time.
The 24-year-old also took to Instagram to share a screenshot of a heart wrenching conversation she had with her grandmother through text message, according to E! News.
In the text message, Frances thanks her grandmother Wendy Cobain for raising her to be "strong and compassionate."
Wendy responded in saying, "You were such a caring loving little girl and have turned into such a beautiful young woman."
Despite experiencing some early challengers in her life, Frances Bean has had a positive turnaround, having recently became the face of Marc Jacobs' campaign for their spring and summer products.
"I first met Frances Bean when she was 2 years old at a dinner with her mom (Courtney) and Anna Sui in 1994 at Bar Six in NYC," the designer said, according to E! News. "I have always wanted to work with Frances. Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected."
"Few things remain as constant as my continued inspiration from those whose honesty, integrity, courage, and curiosity lead them to explore and venture beyond preconceived boundaries," the designer added regarding Frances.
Kurt Cobain was the "face of the grunge movement" as the guitarist who formed Nirvana in the 1980s, according to the New York Daily News.
Nirvana released three albums, with the most successful coming in 1991, "Nevermind." The album featured hits like "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "In Bloom," "Come as You Are," and "Lithium."
